Nature and wildlife are prominent themes in Alvys’ work, particularly of birds and fish.

Textile Practice

Alvys concentrates on hand stitching. She prefers using fine threads on natural fabrics. Alvys is currently taking inspiration from Kantha work. The simple running stitch can be built up in layers of both colour and pattern.
