Statement of Work
Lesley has always had a love of pattern and colour and this has been reflected in her work over many years. Inspiration is often taken from the natural world. Historical and ethnic textiles and artists such as Paul Klee, Bridget Riley and David Hockney have also been influential.
Textile Practice
Creating fabrics using felt-making or paper-making techniques and enhancing these with hand stitch are hallmarks of her work.
