Statement of Work
An interest in shape and form and a love of ceramics have fuelled Susan Wood’s enthusiasm for 3D textiles.
Texture is one of the main themes running through her work and she has recently been developing ideas using walls as an inspiration.
Textile Practice
Susan has developed a method of turning strips of fabric into crochet pots.
She records with photography, painting, drawing and mark making. Work is further developed using screen printing, mono printing, block making and fabric and paper collage. Stitching, mostly by hand, then adds detail and texture.
