Statement of Work
As an animal lover and former veterinary nurse, animal welfare, the human-animal bond, wildlife conservation and nature are recurring themes in Teri Berry’s work which she approaches with an exuberant use of colour and texture.
After many years working in clay and then willow sculpture, in 2010 Teri discovered felt-making almost by accident. From that first magical interaction, turning fluffy wool fibres into a durable fabric with nothing more than soapy water and lots of rubbing she was hooked! After completing a City and Guilds certificate in Constructed Textiles (felt-making) in 2014 she strives to combine new and innovative ways of working with wool-felt, while exploring thought-provoking topics in quirky and entertaining ways.
